Who We Are

Matt Schulte is the founder of the Portland, Oregon based media company – Unified Studies, creative catalysts in the digital stream.

Unified Studies clients have included The Portland Institute for Contemporary Art (PICA), the Oregon Housing Alliance, Mercy Corps, Dreamhouse Consulting, Workshops for Women, Metro Regional Services, gDiapers, New Urban High School, and scores of others.

Before founding Unified Studies in June 2004, Matt held the position of Senior Director of New Media at Metropolitan Group, where he was responsible for the design and implementation of every New Media deliverable. One of his websites, for the National Council of the Lewis & Clark Bicentennial, was the winner of a 2004 Spotlight Award from the Public Relations Society of America, and AHA International, winner of the 2002 Web Marketing Award of Distinction.

As a filmmaker, Matt has worked with clients ranging from New Line Cinemas to Mercy Corps on film and video projects, and shot and directed videos for bands such as the Helio Sequence and Amelia.

Matt is currently directing from his own script the feature film My Ghost Story in Portland, OR, and producing and directing the short film “CPR” in Palm Springs in October.

As a musician, Matt has toured across the United States, and recorded with such musical luminaries as Hilton Rosenthal, producer of Paul Simon’s Graceland album, and Mark Orton, producer and arranger for acts like Tom Waits and Willie Nelson. He is one-half of The Boxer Rebellion, which can be heard on his website.

Matt is also the founder and CEO of the online video aggregation network, Videodash.com, as well as the founder and director of the popular fashion blog Portlandfashion.net.
